Lea Sobbe
Recorder

A German recorder player, Lea Sobbe has a lot of interest in both early and contemporary music. With her groups Ensemble Sonorità, AMA consort and Echo Temporis Consort, she enjoys discovering varieties of old and new repertoires.

 

As a soloist and as a part of ensemble, Lea has received numerous prizes at international competitions, including Deutscher Musikwettbewerb, MOECK SRP solo competition London and Biagio Marini Competition. She is often invited to perform in various international festivals such as the Festival RMVA Luxembourg, Klangvokal Musikfestival Dortmund, “summerwinds Münsterland”, the Fabulous Fringe of the Early Music Festival Utrecht and the Fringe of the MA Festival Bruges.

 

At the moment Lea is studying in a specialized Master with Katharina Bopp at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where she recently completed her first master studies with Conrad Steinmann with the highest distinction.
