Melanie had her early harpsichord lessons in Mexico City. At the age of 18, she was accepted to study at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland. She is currently in the first year of Master Music Pedagogy. Her teachers include Norma Garcia, Jörg-Andreas Bötticher, and Andrea Marcon. 

 

Melanie has presented herself as a soloist in Mexico, France and Switzerland. She has worked in orchestra projects directed by Michael Form (2017) and Rinaldo Alessandrini (2018). She formed a harpsichord duet with her brother, Sergio. They aspire to discover wide range of unknown repertoires for this instrumentation.
